Briggs Marine win major contract with DONG energy


DONG Energy has awarded an eight year framework agreement to the Fife-based Briggs Group for the contingency and repair of export and array cables for offshore wind farms throughout the UK and Northern Europe.

Fife sea freight capacity to be given €6m boost

Sea Freight

"Millions are to be invested in improving the sea freight link between Fife and mainland Europe.

Route operator DFDS Seaways and Forth Ports – the private company responsible for the operation of several of Scotland’s east coast docks – have pledged to jointly invest €6 million in upgrades for the key ro-ro sea route between Rosyth and the major Belgian seaport of Zeebrugge."

Regeneration in Action at Hillend and Donibristle Industrial Estate


Exciting regeneration at Hillend and Donibristle Industrial Estate is underway.

A Steering Group has been formed, made up from businesses within the estate, supported by Fife Council, which is responsible for planning and agreeing on the regeneration strategy and prioritising its work.

Phase 2 of multi-million pound Low Carbon Investment Park gets underway in Buckhaven


WORK is continuing on the £2.3 million new Low Carbon Investment Park, which could eventually secure up to 600 jobs as well as contributing to the physical regeneration of the Levenmouth area.

The Energy Saving Trust is oganising a free to attend seminar (26 August) and webinar (27 August) to learn more about becoming an Energy Saving Opportunities Scheme (ESOS) Lead Assessor. Both of these will provide an overview of the scheme along with the potential market opportunities.
