Have your say on Glenrothes Heat

District Heat Consultation Event

Earlier this week, we held a consultation event at the Rothes Halls in Glenrothes for people to learn more about the proposed heat district for Glenrothes.

Glenrothes Heat would supply low carbon heat to a range of business, community, public sector and domestic customers in the centre of Glenrothes.

Barbara Whiting, Lead Officer for Renewables said: “Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to come along and share their views with us. If you couldn’t make it but want to find out more and have your say, please go to our webpage for more information.

“Glenrothes Heat could contribute significantly to our climate change targets and could potentially reduce fuel poverty in Glenrothes households and provide cost savings for businesses.”

Also this week, Fife Council’s Executive Committee agreed that officers proceed with detailed design, costings and developing the final business case for Glenrothes Heat.
