Fife Fintech

Last month Fife hosted a sector specific Fintech event at Enterprise Hub, Glenrothes.

Stephen Ingledew, CEO of Fintech Scotland travelled to the event to meet a numbers of Fife’s Fintech businesses including Ian Cunningham (former Glenrothes high school student) from Lending Crowd who presented to the group, Lending Crowd is now one of Scotland’s fastest growing Fintech companies aiming to provide £40m of lending to UK companies this year.

Also present at the event was Euan Stillie of Ingenico, the largest independent money transfer company in Europe. Neil Gasowski, of FIS Global, one of top global providers of financial technology, Bill Tennent an industry veteran who recently launched Payment Centric a provider of innovative international payment processing and Jim Tomaney of RenovITe an inward investment newcomer to Fife who recognising Fife as a hotspot of payments technology expertise who decided to locate the company’s European headquarters in Fife.

The meeting concluded with next steps to work with Fife Council’s Opportunities Fife strengthen future of the Fintech sector in Fife.
