Diesel Engine overhaul facility.
In 2009 Rolls-Royce opened a purpose built diesel overhaul and training facility at the existing Dunfermline facility. This provides customer support of Bergen and Crossley Pielstick engines for land based, afloat and offshore applications. Our workshop provides facilities for refurbishment of parts which are returned, inspected and repaired. The facility also offers a well stocked service exchange pool which is capable of supplying cylinder heads, pistons, injector assemblies, exhaust valve assemblies, rocker gear, fuel pumps, and connecting rods. We also have the necessary machinery to support these activities including cleaning tanks, pressure testing and essential measuring equipment. Our Service Exchange programme ensures our customers benefit by reduced maintenance costs and docking duration – saving both time and money. Also we can offer upgrades to improve existing installations and manage obsolescence. As an ongoing investment to our customers we can also provide training on an example engine based in our facility. All of this is situated within a stand alone building which contains necessary tools and lifting capabilities. In addition we are able to provide a full range of service engineers, spare parts, storage and technical assistance services.
