Thousands of visitors are enjoying the chance to sample and buy some of the best Food and drink from Fife at this year’s Royal Highland Show. Eight businesses are representing the region on a specially designed group stand, through assistance from Fife Council’s Economic Development team and Food From Fife.

Council members today approved a new Food and Drink Sector Action Plan that is set to boost the sector in Fife.

Members endorsed a new Food and Drink Sector Action Plan that is designed to support and develop Fife’s food and drink businesses 2019 - 2023, and to boost growth locally, nationally and internationally.

The Connect Local Regional Food Fund

In March, it was announced that there was to be a new £250,000 fund for collaborative food and drink projects in Scotland and applications are now open for small grants of up to £5,000.

Kettle Produce sows a healthy crop of profits

FRESH food group Kettle Produce has increased revenue by 12 per cent to £128 million as it increased the number of staff by more than 100 to 1,158. The Fife-based grower and supplier increased pre-tax profits by 7% to £2.6m.
